Gamcheon - Santorini Asia
It is no coincidence that Gamcheon , the small town of South Korea , was named Asia's Santorini .
The first-time visitors here will quickly be attracted by the pastel colored houses and intriguing statues placed around town . Yet , strange facade and modern artwork shows only a portion of interesting stories hidden behind labyrinth beneath the town hill in Busan , called Gamcheon village .
Unlike any journey to discover what South Korea , Gamcheon village gives visitors a view opposite , totally different from the flashy skyscrapers of a " new Busan " , or even the region bustling market of " old Busan " .
Instead, a quiet village a strange way this is a distinct destination for tourists . Without the discovery experience , or stay on the beach as the reason to attract people to Busan , Gamcheon visitors with captivating art and history .
The origins of religion
The village has a historical tradition of the ordinary. Many say that the document is a starting Gamcheon impoverished town in the 1950s , with many refugees in the aftermath of the war the two Koreas . But in fact , was originally owned by the village community who follow a religious ascetic named Taegeukdo . Religion was born from the political turmoil in North Korea in the early 1900s .

1955 , while restructuring after the war , the city of Busan has requested 800 households according to this religion moved to a designated area located near a hill . Centre of religion according to that move . Since then, this is the dominant religion in the village Gamcheon .

Small , quiet , Gamcheon is not the appropriate place for each tourist group coming back in droves . The sight of a few occasional visitors back and forth match with this place .
" I do not think the fat foreign tourists can travel through the small streets here ," a tourist guide said when asked about the foreign guests . " They will have to watch their heads in every step , would be extremely inconvenient ."

From Busan , go to the subway station or Goejeong Toseong -dong , then catch a taxi to Busan Gamjeong elementary school . Money taxi to the ramp is quite cheap, only about $ 2.5 .

Để ngắm được toàn cảnh nơi đây, vị trí tốt nhất là “Sky Garden”, đồng thời cũng là nơi đặt trung tâm thông tin của làng (đây là nơi phát các quyển sách hướng dẫn về du lịch Hàn Quốc). Còn theo nhiều du khách khác, niềm vui đích thực lại là đi lạc trong những con hẻm nhỏ bé của ngôi làng.
Mỗi con hẻm lại dẫn tới một niềm ngạc nhiên khác nhau, ví dụ như những pho tượng kì lạ trên mái nhà của một căn nhà bỏ hoang đầy màu sắc.
